The crash involved a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Gregory D. Webb-32 of Seaford.  A State Police investigation into the crash revealed that Webb was traveling westbound on Shiloh Church Road (CR 74) just east of Scott Land Road (CR 434).

Webb was entering a curve in the roadway when for an unknown reason his Lumina crossed into the eastbound lane of travel and began to rotate out of control.  Webb’s vehicle then crossed back across the westbound lane and eventually off the north side of the roadway.

Webb after exiting the north edge of the roadway struck a concrete culvert, resulting in his vehicle rolling an undetermined number of times before colliding with a tree and catching fire.

As a result of the crash Webb was thrown from his vehicle.  Webb was transported by emergency medical crews to Nanticoke Hospital Seaford Delaware and pronounced deceased.

The roadway was closed for approximately 5 hours while the crash scene was being investigated.  State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit members are still attempting to obtain additional information surrounding the crash and request information about this investigation to be forward to the following number:  302-644-5020 ext. 119.
