DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Robbery of Fuel Station
Location: BP Shore Stop, 4001 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 8:55 p.m.
Victims:
-28 year old Wilmington, DE female -57 year old Wilmington, DE female
Suspects:
Suspect #1: Black male, 20-25 years of age, 6’00” tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, red shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. He was also armed with a black handgun.
Suspect #2: Unknown male, 5’08” tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with beige fur or wool trim, blue jeans, black shoes, and a black bandana covering his face.
Resume: Wilmington- Delaware State Police robbery detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a Lancaster Pike gas station that occurred last night.
The incident occurred as two male suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered the BP Shore Stop, located in the 4000 block of Lancaster Pike at approximately 8:55 p.m. The suspect, who was armed with the handgun, approached a 28 year old female employee and ordered her to the cash register. As this was occurring, the second suspect also ordered a 57 year old female employee behind the sales counter. The suspects then demanded that the victims open the register which they did. Both suspects then removed cash from the register and then fled the store in an unknown direction. Neither victim was injured.
