The crash occurred as Williams was following Neal back to their Salisbury residence.  Williams was driving a Pontiac Grand Am and Neal a Ford Crown Victoria.  Neal was southbound on US 13 when he observed a red light and suddenly stopped for traffic.  Williams who was following Neal could not stop in time and rear ended Neal’s car.  After Neal’s car was hit it was propelled forward and struck the rear of a Mitsubishi Diamante driven by a 22 year old Seaford woman.  The Seaford woman suffered minor back strain and was treated and released from Nanticoke Hospital.

Delaware State Police through their investigation determined Williams and Neal were driving their vehicles under the influence of alcohol.  Additionally Neal was found in possession of a small quantity of Ecstasy (MDMA).

Neal and Williams were both charged with Vehicular Assault, Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving without a Valid License.  Neal was also charged with Possession of Ecstasy.  Neal, following arraignment was held in Sussex Correctional Institute on $1,600.00 secured bond.  Williams was released after posting $1,100.00 secured bond.
