DELAWARE STATE POLICE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Mr. Robert L. Zook

The Building Maintenance section of the Delaware State Police is under the direction of Mr. Robert Zook. His duties and functions include oversight and/or completion of minor repairs, project manager and quality control for the DSP for minor capital improvements and construction projects at Troops and facilities throughout the state. He also manages 2 personnel assigned to Headquarters and helps them with various parts of their work, scheduling vacation and daily duties.

Highlighted projects undertaken in 2008 include:

• Installed new weather proof gas box at gas pump at Troop 3 and 5
• New sewer system installed and grinder pumps to tie in evidence, GTF offices and Court house to main building drain line system at Troop 4
• New evidence storage and processing area at Troop 4
• New offices, rolling file room, processing areas, loft for storage, new gun lockers, car bay processing area at Troop 4
• New alarm system and smoke detector at Troop 4
• New HVAC system installed at Troop 4
• Bathroom converted to handicap access at Troop 4
• New roof top HVAC system at Troop 6 and 9
• New sidewalks at Troop 6
• New CTI concrete work and sealer at Troop 6
• Remodel work inside of troop for Sergeant’s office, processing area and conference room at Troop 6
• Installed new power supplies for front doors and back doors at Troop 6
• Install new ro water cooler system at Troop 7
• Built large heavy shelves for new storage building at Crime Lab
• Welded steel angles and repaired six kennels for K-9
• Installed hand sanitizer state wide for MERSA at all troops
• Installed new heavy shelves for Human Resource in basement file room
• Install new water treatment system to remove iron and sulfur smell, as well as installed an auto chlorinator for well head at Scale House
