Routinely evaluate your residential security by performing a survey of door and window locks. Look for areas that may allow unauthorized entry to the residence. If you have not documented the serial number, model number and other identifying information for you valuables, now is the time to start. Keep the list of valuables in a safe place. The information can be provided to law enforcement should those items become lost or stolen.
